Students from Texas A&M had an interesting array of websites and answers back in 2004 regarding the media they used. For example, social media was not around so that was in nobody's responses. Most people included TV shows like Late Night with Jay Leno and Seinfeld reruns. Also watching sports was a popular one. People enjoyed reading new on websites like Dallas Morning News, and even on radio stations. In terms of music, people were listening to mp3s on their computer or cd's! In terms of video games, people played gamecube and the computer. Things have certainly changed.
In terms of reasons for taking this course, people had similar responses. They were interested in the new forms of media and the effects they would have.
I think it is pretty clear that the different responses are because these were created 15 years ago. Technology has completely changed and evolved. I am sure if these same people created a new website today, they would have very similar responses to ours.
